Job Description:

The minimally invasive radiologic procedure nurse performs standard rooming, patient education, IV starts, medication administration, sedation, post-procedure monitoring, cleaning, stocking, chart prep and data collection. This position requires strong analytic and organizational skills with demonstrated leadership and the ability take on additional tasks as needed. Utilizes a systematic approach to nursing practice incorporating assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards and Park Nicollet Health Services policy. BSN preferred. Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in ambulatory or acute care setting, ICU or Emergency Center setting. Five or more or more years of experience preferred. Requirements: Strong clinical and human relations skills. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and maintain standards of clinical skills and professional ethics as established by the Nurse Practice Act and Park Nicollet Health Services. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and insure safety of patients. Basic computer/keyboarding/mouse skills required. Must maintain a current Minnesota registered nurse license and skill in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Certified in Basic Support (BLS), IV Skills. Expected to support all areas within the Minimally Invasive Radiologic Procedure Department including Clinic, Phone Triage, MRI, other areas as designated.
