Job Description:

Performs high quality and accurate diagnostic Computerized Tomography and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging images in accordance with established protocols. Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Assists in maintaining computerized imaging system in optimum working condition. Applies knowledge of radiation protection, emergency protocols and procedures and proper equipment to maximize safety in the work environment. Satisfactory completion of a formal Radiologic Technical training from an accredited American Medical Association (AMA) School of Radiologic Technology. Must be willing to participate in continuing education to remain current of technical advances. Additional specialized training or at least one year of equivalent experience in Computerized Tomography and/or Magnetic Resonance Imaging preferred. Advance registry preferred.The ability to exercise good judgment is important. Problem solving skills and discretion with patient information is also required. Computer knowledge or experience in specialized imaging systems such as three dimensional reconstruction or teleradiology desirable. Must maintain Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must maintain current CPR skills. Demonstrates knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
