Job Description:

The Rehabilitation Services staff Physical Therapist will communicate timely, clearly and in a professional manner with staff, patients, patient family members, physicians and other internal/external customers. The staff member will demonstrate skills in listening, conflict management, system problem solving, decision-making and process improvement. The staff therapist will practice in compliance with professional standards and professional code of ethics. The Staff Physical Therapist is responsible for assuring that the PNHS values of Care, Service, Stewardship, Learning and Joy, as defined by the PNHS mission statement, is achieved through daily departmental operations. This includes, but is not limited to, direct patient care, professional growth and development, outcome/competency monitoring, compliance with regulatory standards (CARF, JCAHO, OSHA, professional organizations, and other regulatory agencies); and participating in process improvements to advance patient care outcomes and satisfaction. Education/Experience: 1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physical Therapy 2. Recommend experience as an Physical Therapist preferably in a medical setting. Special Knowledge/Skills/Certification/Licenses: 1. Licensed with the Minnesota Board of Physical Therapy 2. Recommend membership in the American Physical Therapy Association and the Minnesota Physical Therapy Association.  Individuals are responsible for the travel arrangements required to meet the expectations of the position. 

Additional Comments/Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this position would have previous experience and knowledge in the management and treatment of vestibular and/or sports concussion rehabilitation. The candidate must have a desire to work within the TRIA Sports Concussion Program which is a multi-disciplinary concussion program specializing specifically in return to sport and physical activity. The collaboration of physicians, neuropsychologists, physical therapists and athletic trainers all in one location, working together to develop individualized and active treatment plans for each athlete is one of the many unique aspects of the program.
