The Surgical Technologist practices under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an autonomous and collegial manner, integrating, critical thinking skills, commitment, creativity and caring.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent work experience.
Must be a graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist Program: CST

Practical knowledge of basic surgical instrumentation and equipment of orthopedic surgical procedures.
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles of aseptic technique and sterilization methods.
Demonstrated knowledge of age related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
Currently validated CPR skills.
Certified in radiology c-arm usage
Must be able to function independently in a fast-paced work environment. Teamwork and prioritization skills a must. One year of operating room experience required, orthopedic experience preferred. Primarily day shift with varying start times. A Saturday shift during fourth quarter. Ability to provide two days of availability per pay period.
