Tissue to the Team
This course is being offered in partnership with the MN APTA.
The cornerstone to physical therapy practice is selection and dosage of exercise and activity. The goal of this course will be in advancing and challenging the clinicians’ clinical reasoning around exercise selection. The histology, remodeling process, and biomechanics of tendon and bone will first be explored to serve as a foundation necessary for recognizing efficacy of our therapy treatments. Second, patient cases will assist in bridging the gap between research and practical application. Different feedback loops and activity tracking systems (such as the acute:chronic workload ratio) will be discussed as tools to rehab individuals with tendinopathies and bone stress injuries.
