I am a female athlete and have played sports my entire life. My junior year in soccer I had a major knee injury, a player came in from my left side and completely took out my left knee. The pain was excruciating, I could barely walk. Obviously something was wrong, I went to TRIA after doing some research online. I met with Dr. Aadalen about my knee, and he was so reassuring. He gave me a multitude of options, and assured me that I was in great hands. He is also pretty funny, so that lightened the mood in a not so great situation. Following my left knee surgery, which ended up being a compound meniscus tear with a completely torn and shredded ACL, and an acute fracture of the femur, I tore my right ACL playing rugby my senior year into my freshman year of college, and I again went to Dr. Aadalen for my surgery. He did an incredible job, and the amount of knowledge he has is astounding. Now I am playing D1 Women's rugby and I could not be happier with my results. I feel strong, and I don't worry about my knees. Thank you to Dr. Aadalen and all of the TRIA staff who helped in my recovery, I would not be the same athlete without you ! - Olivia F.
Dr. Aadalen has worked on my knees and my right shoulder, and I trust him completely to fix the issue and get me back to my activities as soon as possible. I will likely be seeing Dr. Aadalen again soon for nagging problems in my left knee.
Thanks is such a little word. But it comes to you today with more real appreciation than a hundred words could say! Thanks for your note! I was impressed that you take time out of your busy schedule to personally sign a note to me. It speaks highly of the quality of care you pursue at TRIA. Keep up the good work! My recovery is going great. I’m looking forward to my follow-up visit. - Jan P.
I was playing basketball in a local workout facility and I was stuck on the floor and pivoted when I tore my ACL. At the time I did not know what happened all I knew is it hurt bad. I was referred to go to TRIA by a co-worker, I saw a physician and she ordered an MRI and that is when I found out it was MCL, ACL, and minicus tear. I was really bummed but meeting with Doctor Aadalen and his team reasurred me they would get it fixed, I was impressed with the knowledge he shared and how I felt when hearing everything. During and after the surgery I felt very well taken care of, I was happy with the finished "product" I currently still in therapy but it is going great due to my hard work and a well done by my doctor. I am really glad I went to TRIA. -Marissa M., Brooklyn Park, MN
