Bloomington

I am a dual fellowship trained orthopedic sports medicine surgeon. My special interests include pediatric sports medicine, patellofemoral injuries, knee ligament injuries, joint preservation and cartilage injuries, shoulder instability and rotator cuff repair. I take pride in spending time with patients to determine the best treatment to improve their quality of life. I have been fortunate to provide care to athletes at all levels, serving as team physician for professional, collegiate, and high school teams. I teach trainees from undergraduate students to orthopedic sports medicine fellows. I have published over 50 articles and am currently involved in over 20 studies. I regularly present our research and am invited to speak, as a content expert, at national and international meetings.

Personal Interests

  • Beyond work, I am even more fortunate to be a father and husband. My family and I spend as much time as possible playing sports, playing music, and generally doing outdoor activities. When not in the Twin Cities, my family and I enjoy the enlightenment of travel. I have also been fortunate to work in several locations around the world, and work in underserved areas is a passion of mine.
